Kála M Kovács

Kála M Kovács is a Hungarian ceramic artist working between Hungary and the Netherlands. She founded Conceptual.ceramics after graduating from Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design. Her autonomous works are shaped by diverse ceramic technologies, with a strong focus on high-fire wood firing—a technique she has explored for years. Together with young ceramic artists and Hungarian ceramicist and teacher Éva Kádasi, she built a wood kiln for their shared use. Kála values controlled randomness, allowing the material to shape the final expression.
