Bio
Ingrid is a ceramicist, artist, lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts, mother, grandmother, and an enthusiast of Japanese culture. Her creative practice is characterized by openness — she does not limit herself to any particular techniques, materials, scales, or firing methods. Alongside ancient firing traditions, her work explores timeless themes related to the cycles of life, personal narratives, and lived experience. Over the years, she has participated in numerous residencies and workshops and has exhibited extensively both in Estonia and abroad. Her master’s thesis laid the foundation for the book “Raku. Development and Experience” (2010), which reflects her long-term engagement with the raku technique.
